- Every API call to the Read, Write, or Validate endpoint counts as one transaction, regardless of how many EDI segments or trading partner documents it contains. A single POST to /read/x12 with a 1,000-segment interchange is still one transaction.
- Yes. Every NeutronEDI plan — including the free Developer tier — includes full support for X12 transaction sets and EDIFACT message types. There are no paywalled standards.
- The Developer plan is free forever with 500 API calls per month. You can use it indefinitely for testing, prototyping, or small production workloads. No credit card required to sign up.
- We'll notify you when you approach your monthly limit. If you exceed it, additional transactions are rejected with a 429 response until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan. We never bill surprise overage fees.
- Annual billing with a discount is available on the Growth and Enterprise plans. Contact sales for details — the discount is typically equivalent to two free months per year.
- Developer plans include community support via documentation and public forums. Growth plans add email support with next-business-day response. Enterprise plans include priority email support, faster response SLAs, and the option of a dedicated Slack channel for ongoing engagements.
- Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time directly from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle. Prorated billing handles the math automatically.
